Beth L. Weicman
Beth L. Weicman is Overland’s Senior Vice President & Director of Finance. Ms. Weicman is responsible for the recording and presentation of the financial statements of Overland, as well as for the compliance and reporting of all federal and state income and local (sales and property) tax related matters, regulatory reporting, budgeting, cash management and any peripheral financial matters that impact Overland. She is also responsible for accounting and tax matter for all real estate partnerships for which Overland functions as general partner. Additionally, she serves as the primary interface with third party servicers that impact the financial results of Overland, including general ledger, payroll, lease, and real estate accounting. Ms. Weicman is also responsible for ensuring that adequate internal controls are developed and implemented to safeguard the assets of Overland.
Ms. Weicman spent the first part of her career with the international public accounting firm of KPMG, attaining the position of Senior Manager in the audit division. During her tenure with KPMG, Ms. Weicman was also a National Trainer, a Computer Audit Specialist and a Computer Processing Specialist.
Prior to founding Overland, Ms. Weicman was a Senior Vice President with Key Equipment Finance (KEF), the commercial equipment leasing subsidiary of KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY). In this capacity, Ms. Weicman developed and was responsible for the sales and property tax support and compliance areas for all of KeyCorp, lease accounting for KEF, and a number of other lease accounting system-related areas and projects. She chaired the Accounting and Operations User Conference for the lease accounting software system utilized by KEF during most of her tenure at KEF. Ms. Weicman has also chaired the annual Equipment Leasing and Finance Association Tax Professionals Roundtable and is currently a member of the Roundtable Planning Committee as well as the State Government Relations Committee.
Ms. Weicman is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPA’s. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
